UWRF Professors James Madsen and Surujhdeo Seunarine have an extensive Antarctic research experience with the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the neutron monitors at the South Pole. Professor Madsen is also on the steering committee for the Scientific Committee Antarctic Research (SCAR) Astronomy and Astrophysics in Antarctica Scientific Research Program, and is an associate director of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, responsible for education and outreach. Dr. Nuntiyakul’s summer visits to UWRF have resulted both in publications with students and visits for two UWRF students to Thailand.
